The Vet Depot is Flora's only free-standing veterinary clinic and boarding facility, and one of the few locally owned practices in Madison County. It's a product of many years of education, thought, design, and preparation. From the building design to the equipment utilized and the staff you'll interact with, you'll find an extremely well-operated clinic that provides the residents of Central Mississippi with access to high-quality and trustworthy care for their pets. Meet Jon David
Dr. Johnson earned his doctorate of veterinary medicine degree from Mississippi State University College of Veterinary Medicine in the spring of 2018. After graduation, he practiced veterinary medicine and surgery in Gluckstadt, MS for approximately six years. He always had a goal of owning and operating a veterinary clinic, and felt the time was right to make that transition in 2024. One of the main objectives of The Vet Depot is to blend small town values and culture into exceptionally well practiced veterinary medicine, and we feel well equipped for both!

Small Animal Surgery
We don't take your trust lightly when you choose us for your pet's surgical needs. From pre-anesthetic to post-op care, we ensure your pet is getting the best care and you’re informed every step of the way.
Internal Medicine
We strive to reach an accurate diagnosis prior to initiating therapy. This starts with a good medical history and physical exam. After a diagnosis is reached, we are ready to accurately and appropriately treat your pet.
Senior Pet Care
As pets enter their golden years, their health needs evolve, requiring attentive care and proactive management. We understand the unique challenges that come with caring for senior pets and we want to ensure that your senior pet enjoys a happy, comfortable, and fulfilling life.
Wellness Care
The old saying "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure" couldn't be more true when it comes to caring for your pet! Wellness care including immunization, parasite prevention, and routine wellness checks are at the forefront of good veterinary care.
Diagnostics and Radiology
At our veterinary practice, we offer advanced in-house digital imaging capabilities, including radiology and ultrasonography. With our state-of-the-art equipment, we can swiftly and accurately diagnose your pet's condition, giving you peace of mind and the best treatment options.
Boarding
We are passionate about your pet’s care and giving you peace of mind while you’re away. Our 2,000 sq. ft. boarding facility is equipped with everything we need to keep your pet happy and comfortable. You can rest easy knowing your pet is under the same roof as your veterinary staff.
Grooming
